Somewhere between a brownie, a fudgy square, and an ␣oh my god␣ exclamation, lies this fantastic dessert.
Yet made with just fruits, nuts, and pure cacao, this treat is nutritionally on par with a natural energy bar or trail mix
-- what a deal! Not that you actually needed an excuse to eat a brownie.
Equipment: Food Processor

1 Cup walnuts
3/4cup dates or raisins
1t maple syrup (optional)
1/8 t vanilla extract
1/3 cup raw cacao powder
1T coconut oil or 1T raw cacao butter (optional)
Process walnuts and raisins and cacao powder and coconut oil or raw cacao butter in food processor, then add the vanilla, maple syrup, process until batter forms into a ball. Take the batter out and spread it in a glass pan about 1 inch high. Place in freezer for at least 15 minutes.
Icing:
1/2 cup lemon juice
1/2 cup soaked dates
Soak dates for at least 30 minutes, then blend with the lemon juice until smooth.
Take the pan out of the freezer and cut the batter into small bite size brawnies or large size ones, spread icing on top.
